Sour Strawberries: Part 4

Ichigo smacked the front door from her house open, and without saying a word to her parents she ran to her room and locked herself up. Her eyes and cheeks were red from all the crying. Her heart was broken, and she was ashamed because she didn’ t even ran back to work to say that she was going home. But actually, she didn’ t care about anything anymore on this moment. She felt like it wasn’ t even worth for her to live her previous, happy life. How could this kind of situations change so much in a very short time? It was like only five months that Kish and the others left the Earth to return to their people. Then, Ichigo felt a warmth coming up in her body when she mentioned the name from the green haired alien. A smile was standing on her lips, when she thought back to the moments when the big eared boy was stalking her so much because he was obsessed with her. Crazy in love, he wanted to do everything to make her his. Even killing her, so the pain in his heart would disappear. But he, luckily, never did because he knew that if she would be gone the pain in his heart would only grow bigger than it already was. She also remembered how the Blue Knight always saved her when she was in danger. Would he still protect her now they weren’ t a couple anymore? Suddenly a pink fluffy ball appeared before her grey eyes. ‘Ichigo!’ it said to her with a childish voice. ‘Masha...’ she whispered. The name made her think again about Aoyama-kun, and new tears were coming up in her eyelids. She hided her head under the pillow, not wanting to watch at or hear the robot from the Mew team. Maybe later, but for now, she couldn’ t. He reminded her to much of her ex-boyfriend...

‘How long is it going to take before we can land?’ Kisshu asked for the tenth time in just a few minutes. He was nervously standing after Pai, trying to look over the shoulder from his taller brother. ‘A few hours,’ Pai answered. ‘Or maybe a whole day...’ ‘What?!’ Kisshu immediately shouted loudly. Pai laughed. ‘Relax, Kisshu. I was joking. But it really is going to take us at least six hours before we can arrive on Earth.’ Kisshu sighed. He couldn’ t wait to see the girl he missed so much. He wondered if she would have changed a lot in those few months, or that she was still her same beautiful self. He let himself fall down in a giant chair, bored watching out of the window at the planets and stars they were passing on their way to the human planet. ‘You know... One hour here, is on Earth just five minutes so you don’ t need to mind if that cat-girl is already sleeping at the time when we’re landing.’ Kisshu felt how his cheeks got tomato red when Pai mentioned Ichigo. ‘I’ m not going to see her...!’ he stuttered. ‘I’ m here to help you guys.’ ‘Whatever you say.’ Pai answered, knowing that the only reason why Kisshu came with them was to see the pink Mew. And maybe they all got a second reason... Kisshu wanted to see Ichigo, Taruto was excited for when he would meet Pudding again and Pai even hoped that he could bump into Lettuce. Taruto felt asleep in one of the three chairs and he looked cute and peaceful with his amber and brown coloured eyes closed and his brown hairs hanging wildly before his face. ‘You should get some rest too.’ Pai said, after he concentrated himself again on the course. ‘How about you?’ Kisshu asked to his older brother. The purple haired alien didn’t responded immediately. ‘I’ ll stay here, to control the ship. If I’ m getting tired, I’ ll leave it to the automatic pilot. You should go lay down, and wake up on the moment that we’ re landing.’ Kisshu nodded, carefully took Taruto in his arms and walked to their bedrooms. He softly lay his younger brother down in his bed, and than he did the same. As soon as his head touched the pillow, he was asleep and dreamed about seeing his love again after all that time...

‘Ichigo! There’ s a phone call for you!’ Ichigo opened her eyes. How late was it? When she turned her head to her alarm clock she saw it was almost seven P.M., she was astonished. Did she slept for a few hours? When she came up, she felt dizzy and staggering she walked out of her room. When she came downstairs and finally arrived at the living room, her mother worried looked at her only daughter. ‘Ichigo? What’ s wrong?’ she asked, but Ichigo shook her head and took the horn from the phone in her hands. ‘Moshi moshi?’ she said, wondering who it was. ‘Ichigo! Where have you been the whole afternoon? Everybody has worried himself sick about you!’ she heard Mint shooting at her. She swallowed. Maybe it would have been better if she called at the Cafe before she ran to home, but on that moment she was shocked about what happened before and couldn’ t think about anything else anymore. ‘Gomenasai...’ she mumbled, ashamed. She heard Mint sighing at the other side of the line. ‘What happened?’ ‘I- I...’ she began, when she heard the question. She wasn’ t able to tell it. Not now. It was to early to talk about it to easily. ‘I can’ t tell. It’ s... Complicated.’ she stuttered. ‘Ichigo, are you okay? You don’ t sound that good.’ Mint said, after a silence from a few minutes. ‘Daijōbu. There’s nothing for you guys to worry about. I’ m totally fine. The only thing is that I feel kinda sick.’ ‘Well...’ Mint tried to say as normal as possible. ‘Get better soon.’ ‘Um... Ja ne.’ she whispered, and then hung up. She hated it to lie to her friends, but in this situation she got no other option. When she came in her room, she closed the door like she did before and leaned against it. Masha appeared in front of her face. ‘Ichigo!’ it shoot. ‘Alien!’ it then peeped with a high voice. Ichigo’ s eyes widened. ‘Eh...? Where?!’ she said astonished. ‘Right behind you. Koneko-chan...’
